Scottish Circuit - 5 days 1200 miles
There’s no better way to see Scotland than with our five-day circuit of its northern perimeter:
Days One and Two
The route leads to the Cairngorms National Park for the first night, with its high passes and secluded valleys and the merest speck of snow left on high ground. The following day, the A9 winds northward into Sutherland, via the Highland capital Inverness and towards John O’Groats. There are awesome roads with sweeping curves and tight hairpin bends in swift succession, whilst fabulous views reach out across the North Sea.
Day Three
It’s along to the formidably named Cape Wrath and the most north westerly roads in mainland UK. The landscape along the West Coast is spectacular with huge, sheer Munroes looming either side of the road! Enjoy the catch of the day as we overnight at a small fishing village!
Days Four and Five
No Scottish circuit is complete without a hop to Skye where another set of mountains called the Cuillins provide the backdrop to some incredible roads. Follow the drovers’ route along the Great Glen and head South to Fort William for the last evening. Day five sees our return to the Lake District, not before you’ve been dazzled by the scenery of Rannoch Moor and Glen Coe (we’ve saved the best for last!). Enjoy!
