Welcome to Lakes & Lochs, run by husband and wife motorcyclists Simon & Anna Handley.

We provide guided motorcycle tours in the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Scotland: you can choose from half-day to 3-day tours locally or 4, 5 and 6-day tours of the Highlands and Islands.  Lakes & Lochs is the only motorcycle tour company based in the Lake District and the only one to offer radio commentary for you and your pillion.

We believe in offering good quality, fairly priced touring:  Pillions go free of charge on our half day and day rides.  And on our longer tours we don’t inflate the price for bringing your pillion.

Our carefully selected routes comprise the most outstanding roads in the UK which regularly appear in motorcycle publications. You’ll be equally impressed by the beauty and variety of landscape and scenery.

Every aspect of the tour is arranged including tried and trusted accommodation, with hearty breakfasts and delicious evening meals, as well as pre-booked ferry crossings.  In addition, we include visits to the best museums and distilleries en route.

Motorcycle hire can be organised through our partner firms in Cumbria and Scotland and as you may be visiting us from far away, we offer additional local accommodation if you require.  Ladies-only tours can be arranged with Anna as your guide, perfect for a hen party or girls weekend.

We’re both advanced observer riders for the Institute of Advanced Motorists.  So you’ll be confident that the rides have a relaxed and enjoyable feel, organised to everyone’s riding ability. Should you wish, you can benefit from advanced tuition from our partner business Eden Pro Rider Training.
